Summer League
Summer Basketball League (Texas Heat Basketball)
Summer is just around the corner. As the Texas heat starts to make everyone feel like moping around the house, why not spend it at the basketball court. Enjoy the company of ballers, and at the same time trim some of that love handles.
Summer league is in the works to start June 24, 2012. Divisions will be comprised of Two Divisions, the Asian Open Division broken down into two categories, Category A (Competitive) and Category B (Recreational). The Asian Open Division will be available to all age level. Second Division will be the 35UP Division.
Summer league games will be played on Sundays' only. Season will consist of Eight (8) games per team, not including playoffs. Registration will be available online or speak with the League administrator for your team to be listed. Do not wait till the last day to register. We will make sure that we have even number of teams. Last team to register will be the odd team and will be the alternate team.
Summer Youth Basketball Camp
Youth Summer Basketball camp will be open for registration May 8, 2012. Camp is available to 7 yrs old and 12 yrs. old. There will be a limit to the number of attendees. At the moment, we will only be taking 12 players. First come, first served basis. Camp will be held at Forney Sports Center on Saturdays.
Camp will be a 3 hour long sessions for three meetings. Participants must have their own basketball size 28.5". No exceptions. Must bring their own drinks.
Camp will focus on the fundamentals of the sport, the importance of exercise and teamwork. Whether your son or daughter is a beginner or has some know-how, this will be a great avenue for beginners to learn the basics. So get them away from their gameboys, computer or tv because it's time for some fun recreation, indoors.
Camp will be overseen by volunteers. We encourage parents to be supportive and encouraging, but not too much as too discourage the children. We are here to have fun. They will not be Micheal Jordan overnight.
Date and Time will be announced at a later date. Please keep tab of our site and send us email for further details. Questions or concerns must be addressed before registration. Waivers must be signed and turned in at the first meeting.
UT ARLINGTON ASIAN BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT
Our league has been invited to participate in the Asian tournament to be held at University of Texas, Arlington. We try to get a team together to represent our League.
We are looking for a select few to join our team. We will be selective by holding a tryout and practices. If you are that player who is interested in a competitive, fast pace and intense basketball, please contact the league administrator or call 469-742-3714 (Idan)
TRYOUT FOR UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS ARLINGTON TOURNEY & LEAGUE TEAM
We will be holding a tryout for those that are willing to participate in the Asian Open Tournament to be held at UT: Arlington on June 2, 2012. The meet will be held at Forney Sports Center, Saturday at 2PM. If you are interested, show up and be accounted for. Players who qualify and be part of the Tournament team will also have the opportunity to play for the league team, Impact.
